Fertility Support
Trying to conceive isn’t always as straightforward as we’re led to believe. If you’re feeling frustrated, lost, or stuck waiting for answers, I understand, because I’ve been there. I was told I had "unexplained infertility". I know the helplessness of not knowing what's wrong or how to fix it, and the limbo of referrals and IVF waiting lists.
It's that experience that led me to acupuncture and subsequently inspired me to leave my corporate career and re-train as an acupuncturist and fertility specialist so that I could give women and couples struggling with fertility, the support I wish I'd had.
Today, with a postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Fertility and as a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network, I combine current biomedical research with traditional Chinese medicine to look at the whole picture. That means asking the questions that so often get missed, helping you understand what might be going on, and working with you on a clear, personalised plan for the next steps on your fertility journey.

If you have a male partner, we expect him to be present at the consultation - the male factor is 50% of the picture and we take that seriously
Fertility Support Treatment Options
Here at Thrive Acupuncture Clinic, our preferred approach is to work with patients over at least a 12 week period. The reason for this is that it takes roughly that time for the follicles to mature and a similar time for the development of the sperm. Working with you during this time enables us to make changes that help ensure an optimal environment for conception.
Whilst that's the ideal, we understand that it's not always possible and it's important to remember that even the slightest change can make a big difference when it comes to fertility! That's why we offer our fertility consultations as stand-alone sessions without requiring a course of acupuncture treatment. We also offer short term support for pre & post embryo transfer which you can book below. Please do check our opening times and get in touch if you need appointments outside of these times. These may be available but will be subject to an additional charge.

Fertility Foundations Consultation

We ask that both partners attend (where applicable)
We'll review your health history and cycle, talk through any existing diagnoses or conditions relevant to your fertility, and you'll leave with clear, practical guidance tailored to your circumstances.
Best suited if you're in the earlier stages of trying to conceive, or don't yet have test results or a treatment history that needs in-depth review.
This is also the starting point for individual consultations for those trying to conceive solo or as part of a same-sex partnership.

In-Depth Fertility Consultation

£145 (excludes testing costs)

We ask that both partners attend
Includes a full review of your test results (existing or after our recommendations) and treatment history, a detailed written report summarising findings and recommended next steps, specialist referrals where appropriate, and a 15-minute follow-up call once you've had time to read the report so we can answer any questions. This is the missing piece of the puzzle, where we will truly support you on this journey, impartially and with your best interests at heart.
Best suited if you've been trying for six months or more, have experienced recurrent miscarriage/implantation failure, have existing test results, have previously done IVF/IUI, or if you're concerned about time and you'd like to start with a thorough review.

Pre & Post Embryo Transfer Support
2 x 60 min sessions
£150
Whilst we always prefer to see couples as early as possible in their fertility journey, we know that's not always possible. If you're going through IVF and would like support pre & post embryo transfer, we're here to support you. Please note, this is for 2 sessions of acupuncture either side of transfer. If you would like longer support throughout your IVF cycle, please select from the options above.
Treatments include acupressure ear seeds and a guide to surviving the two-week wait
